Meet Linda Joseph from Pittsburgh, PA, mom of three, wife, Physician’s Assistant, and proud cat mom! For over four years, Linda has been a loyal customer of Alexis Co., and I’ve always admired her thoughtful knit selections that reflect her so well and how she styles them.

Linda’s love for Alexis Co. knits began with two sweaters, and over the years, her collection has expanded to include skirts, tanks, one-of-a-kind pieces, dresses, and dusters. She appreciates how the knits have adapted to her body throughout various phases of life and beyond. Beyond fashion, Linda enjoys decorating her home, cooking, baking, and creating custom birthday cakes for her children, while embracing her endless curiosity and passion for learning. As a dedicated Physician’s Assistant, Linda has found a career that perfectly balances her love for both science and art. “I’m eternally curious and love to read and learn about the world around me.”

How does your collection show off your personal style?
I would describe my personal style as feminine, boho, timeless. I feel that Alexis Co. pieces are just that. The pieces fit with my personal style. I love the way that each piece fits every body type and size. I love supporting women and I appreciate how I am able to support creative, one of a kind pieces of clothing that are handmade by women in Mexico and artisans in Turkey. To me, that is so special.
The first time I walked into Lex & Lynne, it was August 2020 and I was walking in and out of stores in Sewickley. That summer it felt so good to finally be able to be outside exploring different shops after the shutdown. I was by myself on a mama’s day out. I immediately vibed with Lex & Lynne when I walked in the door. I bought these beautiful brown leather boots and the Cafe Brown Cotton Sweater on an 80 degree day. I was immediately obsessed! I still wear both on a regular basis. The brown sweater is a rich unique color and I’ve never owned an article of clothing in this same gorgeous color.
Tell us about meeting Lex...
I first met Lex when I was shopping in her store and she helped me pick out my Hand Painted Royal Blue Sweater. I was in awe of how talented and creative she is. She has such a genuine aura which makes you instantly want to become her friend.
How long have you been following and shopping at Alexis Co.?
I’ve been shopping at Alexis co almost four years! After my first purchase, I just couldn’t get enough. I fell in love with the unique, timeless pieces.
What is your favorite piece in your collection and why?
My favorite pieces (I have two) would be my black and white crochet dress and my black maxi skirt. I feel comfortable, stylish, confident and happy each time I wear them. Strangers stop me and tell me how much they love each piece every single day that I’ve worn them.
What is the oldest piece in your collection?
The oldest piece in my personal collection is the Cafe Cotton Sweater. I love the beautiful color and I always feel confident wearing it. It compliments my skin and hair color. It is comfortable and I love the way it fits me.
What is the newest piece in your collection?
The newest piece in my collection is the Ivory Mini Skirt. I have so many outfit ideas for spring, summer and fall. I can’t wait to try out different looks. Also a one-of-a-kind black luxury knit top and a black tank.
Do you travel in your Alexis Co.?
I wear my Alexis Co. pieces every time I travel. My dresses are so breathable in hot weather and I also wear them as cover ups over my bathing suits!
